Original Stained Glass Art
Sketching and drawing my entire life, I
started painting with watercolors and
acrylics twenty or so years ago.
Responding to an ad I enrolled in a
stained glass course in the early
nineties. Enjoying the contrast from
painting to working with glass I started
making the traditional lamps, mirrors
and window panels. Several years past
and I broke away from the standards
by forming wire into shapes and adding
glass to create abstract shapes, flowers,
faces, dancing girls, planters, key
holders, etc. Over the years, through
trial and error I developed my own
brand of durable and unique pieces of
stained glass wall art. I practiced
applying different patinas and finishes
eventually coming up with a process
that resulted in a lasting high gloss finish.
Living on a corner lot facing the beach
with lots of windows I sold my pieces to
neighbors and passersby. After several
years my art was sold in little art shops,
boutiques, and restaurants from Milton
to Orleans. After thirteen or so years I’m
finally where I’ve always wanted to be:
Provincetown as part of the P-Town
Artisans Coop.
Although I still dabble with watercolor
and acrylic making these stained glass
pieces is my passion. I hope you enjoy
viewing them as much as I do making
them.
