Stef Semple Semple Glass Studio
|
During his lengthy tenure as a business planner
and product sales forecaster at IBM, Stef
Semple became interested in stained glass as a
vacationer on Cape Cod. What started as a
hobby 30 years ago has flourshed into a
successful business.
Stef designs and creates custom architectural
elements and decorative interior accents.
Most of his work is executed using the copper
foil technique, popularized by Louis Tiffany, and
includes but not limited to window panels,
sidelights, skylights, cabinet doors, lamp shades,
table tops, picture frames and windchimes. He
also is one of the few on Cape Cod to do
stained glass repair work out of his Brewster
studio.
A full time resident since 1993, he shares his
passion for stained glass with others through
adult education classes at the Cape Cod
Museum of Art in Dennis. Stef also teaches high
school students through a "School-to-Career"
internship program.
He previously was a member of the New Jersey
Designer Craftsmen and the Northwest Bergen
Craft Guild where Stef was involved in
establishing the first art and craft cooperative
in Northern New Jersey. Stef's current
professional affiliations include the Society of
Cape Cod Craftsmen and the Artisans' Guild
of Cape Cod.
