My romance with jewelry began in the woods near Plymouth, MA and carried me as far away as the desert of the Southwest. I learned my craft in the traditional way, as apprentice to a professional jeweler and continued exploring it during my tenure as professional wanderer with Renaissance Festivals and high end craft/art shows. The Provincetown Artisan Coop is my first real showing away from Cynthia (my mentor). I am so pleased to be part of a group of such creative individuals. My inspiration is the beauty of nature and to honor her peace, color, music and physical forms. I use natural materials from the earth, fresh water pearls, semi precious stones and sterling silver as well as traditional Czech glass and Swarovski crystal (which is the closest I can find to capturing light). Each piece I create is unique and I pay specific attention to the finite details of each link and connection. I enjoy designing custom pieces for people and have had the opportunity to outfit a few bridal parties. I have most recently been inspired to create wire sculpture as well as jewelry allowing me to indulge my passion for trees as spiritual influences and work with copper and steel wire. I am also going forward in my education learning new techniques from other jewelers. I am so pleased to share my work with you and thank you for your interest.
