|
Born in 1960, Elizabeth is a 12th generation
Cape Codder. She has spent most of her life
in Yarmouthport MA, and currently resides is
Dennis, MA where she creates her various
works of art.
Elizabeth has spent her life around the
beaches and marshes of Cape Cod and is a
great lover of horticulture and nature. Many
of her works of art are not only influenced by
the natural surroundings on Cape Cod, she
often incorporates part of the environment
into her work as well.
Like many fine artists, Elizabeth is self taught
and is the conduit through which her work
and creative designs flow naturally and
manifest on many mediums such as Oil on
Canvas, Mixed Media, Gourd Art, Stained
Glass and Glass Sculptures.
Although Elizabeth has explored many
creative paths, her passion is for painting.
While raising her two children, she took Art
classes at Cape Cod Community College. As
her passion grew, she went on to study with
Joel Baab at the Museum School in Boston;
Sam Feinstein in Dennis and at the
Provincetown Art Association and Museum
with Jim Peters.
Elizabeth’s works are shown in several
galleries, have been exhibited in many shows
on Cape Cod and are in numerous private
collections throughout the United States.
