The  orderliness of weaving has
always soothed me.  I love the way
the threads line up.  I love the march
of time as the shuttle passes back
and forth and inches stretch into
yards.  Weaving provides me with a
tangible measure of minutes and
hours, sometimes of days and weeks.

Color propels my work.  Often it’s a
reflection of the world around me;
sometimes it just wells up inside me.
“Living in Crayola Land” describes
how I feel in my studio, surrounded
by cones and skeins of all the colors I
love that make working at the loom
a never-ending story.

Shawls and scarves are my mainstay,
usually in
rayon chenille but I also weave with
bamboo.  Both yield a lustrous,
luxurious fabric with a beautiful
hand.  Finely turned edges and hand-
knotted fringes are hallmarks of my
work.  I weave one-of-a-kind items
and also do limited production of
scarves and bamboo table runners.
